Middle East Dialogue 2011: a forum for policy makers, scholars, business leaders, to discuss major issues of the region. The Forum focuses on education initiatives, social, economic and political reforms, nuclear proliferation, interfaith dialogue, women's gains and challenges, peace initiatives, and potential areas of conflict. We welcome different political and religious persuasions to discuss issues in a spirit of tolerance and free discourse.

 

Proposals are due before October 30, 2010. Notice of acceptance will be issued before September 1, 2010. Completed papers are due by December 31, 2010. Selected papers will be published in the Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES), published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the Policy Studies Organization (PSO).

 

The Forum is sponsored by the Policy Studies Organization, American Public University and the Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES). Other sponsors are invited and will be added. The Forum is co-chaired by Prof. Mohammed M. Aman of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Editor in Chief of Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES); Prof. Fred Lazin, Ben Gurion University of the Negev and American University and Prof. Paul Rich, President, Policy Studies Organization.
