Politics & Policy, Best Paper Award

The yearly George Cox award of the PSO journal Politics & Policy is a turned mahogany finial, as the finial is often the highest point of a structure and hence represents aspiration -- the individual receives an inscribed antique astrolabe, as the journal has always incorporated an astrolabe in its cover design as symbolic of seeking direction. It is given to the best article and selection is by the editors and editorial board.
